I’ve such got such a long backlog of film lately that i’ve started skipping developing rolls and just leaving them in the fridge for my ‘deal with later’ pile.. I take my camera our sporadically, so the photos are from all throughout different times in the week.

Things on film from my Leica r6.2. Maybe some from other cameras too
What week in particular, i’m not really sure.. i’ve come to neglect this blog over the recent months- sporadic is the only term that could describe what’s the amount of posting here. I have nothing to reassure there will be change, just a slow decline while my days become more important to enjoy them than document them. Or rather, perhaps instagram is just an easier way to go right now. There are a few things coming up which i’ll write about later, but until then here are a few photos of my favourite people I hung out with the other week.
Ella released ‘Tennis Courts’ M/V today- i’m proud of her, and of this video in particular. Polarizing considering the audience she reaches, but this video speaks for great minds alike. Those that see eye to eye with her vision will appreciate this a lot. I know I do.
Here are a few of the film shots taken that day (and here are the other ones)
Took a little drive up through the new toll tunnels north with Chelsea, otherwise known as Watercolours, the other week. A morning of photos and cuddling of pups. Someday i’ll scan these 35mm negatives in properly.. until then these pitchy contrasty scans wil have to do. PS. listen to her here.
Ella/Lorde played her first public show on 9th of May at Galatos- It’s taken me weeks to get a few rolls of film developed, only to find most of them are a mess (my mistake for thinking I could shoot across both film and digital in a small window of opportunity). A biased opinion, but i’ll say it anyway- she was amazing, always taken back everytime I hear her sing. These photos do no justice..
I’m always struggling to leave this place, pushing for something bigger.. something better. Always taking this city for granted. I have a small group of really good friends here that keeps the insanity at bay. Forever in their debt, and forever thankful.
Looking at these photos now, I miss the freezing cold I complained about endlessly. The layers upon layers amplifying belly warmth you acquire from too many beers. Finally, the last roll of film from the last night spent in Korea. The people make this really make this place, I can’t imagine the kind of friendship and family anywhere else in the world now. 우리집애, 우리집애.. this is my home in Seoul.
For the release of the adidas Originals x Opening Ceremony collaboration, Area 51 had an opening event in their High Street store. I’m very fond of adidas and their collaborations (Kazuki, as you already know), much like the Jeremy Scott ObyO collection this is not my forte but I can see where it fits in with the kids. Free drinks, free food, and an entirely new outfit to the store- everything looked great.
I rolled a couple of 800asa films through the contax- the results are less than favourable, but here are snaps of the eve. PS. I’m looking for a new lab to process film at.. who’s got suggestions?
